Dr. Jeff

As a child growing up I learned a lot from my Father. He took every opportunity to teach me something new. One of the most important lessons I learned was to use my gifts to enhance the quality of life for myself and those around me.  With him being a dentist,  I observed at an early age how helping people improve their oral health also helped improve their well being.  It has been said that the smile is a window into a persons’ soul.  People smile for many different reasons, but ultimately it reflects happiness.  My interest in dentistry started early but it has grown into one of my favorite passions.

Education has always been my top priority. Being challenged and continually expanding my knowledge is what lead me to graduate at the top of my class from University of the Pacific School of Dental Medicine in San Francisco, California.  I then started my own practice just prior to the age of 24 in 1995.  I bring over fifteen years of dental experience and advanced training to give back to the residents of Sonora and the surrounding areas. I continue to pursue for myself and my team the latest in advanced dental training.

From the moment you enter my office you will be treated like family. We strive to provide for all our patients an environment that promotes comfort, caring and an understanding of the patients individual needs. I look forward to making you part of ours.

I am often the first person you will meet when you visit our office. Being prepared and informed about your appointment is my priority. Coming from a family filled with dental professionals it was only a matter of time before I became fascinated with the industry.  I have been in the dental field since 1996 and have spent that time as a part of Dr. Jeff’s team.

Today’s dentistry and all that our office can offer continue to motivate me. I thoroughly enjoy explaining the benefits of services and coordinating any needed appointments. I look forward to meeting and motivating you.

At the age of ten, I was caught brushing my unhappy ponies’ teeth.  It was at that moment my parents knew I would have a career in dental hygiene.  Raised in Tuolumne County and educated in Oregon I have spent the last twelve years working with Dr. Jeff to improve patients’ oral health.  I believe the health of your mouth does affect your overall health.  I enjoy providing excellent dental hygiene services and getting to know you.  I can’t wait to meet you and help you attain your optimum oral health.  Let’s talk teeth!

I probably made your very first appointment in our office. I have the pleasure of taking all new patient phone calls. New patients’ are so important to our practice that this responsibility is one of the top priorities of my job. Our first conversation is so important, that I can take my time discovering what is important to you in a dentist and your care.

One of the things I enjoy most about our office is how organized we are. We have specific systems in place that allow us to all be prepared and informed. I deal with insurance submissions and financial communications.  This is not an area that any of our patients should have surprises on. Please stop by and say “hello” on our first appointment. I enjoy getting to put a face to a name for all those who join our family of patients.

It may seem surprising that someone can have anxiety in a profession that they love.  However, before I started working with Dr. Jeff in 2008 I had not been to a dentist in over 8 years.  It was not that I didn’t understand the importance, I just never felt comfortable in the chair.  As his assistant I make it my first priority to tend to those apprehensions in every patient we see.  Equally as important in building trust with our patients, is their understanding of each procedure and how it relates to the health of their mouth and overall well-being.  So please at your next visit let me know if there is any way I can make your visit more comfortable, together we can regain and maintain the health of your smile, and keep you smiling in the chair.

I am the newest member of Dr. Jeff’s team. I bring my enthusiasm and genuine warmth into the office.  I enjoy all our patients, but have a soft spot for children. I love taking them through their first experience at the dentist. Watching the look their faces during an elevator ride or when they meet Mr. Thirsty for the first time.  I believe that the first visit as a child sets the tone for their future outlook on dentistry.
